While re-boarding our loft I came across this, sticking up out of a rafter.

You know I had to pull it up slowly, by hand. I was actually disappointed that it didn't make the little 'squeak' sound.

That may be one of the coolest prop finds ever IMHO. I love it.

I see those nails at the local hardware store ALL the time. Every time I see them I think of the "piercing" scene. It's weird how one's brain makes associations like that.

I can't see a Coca-Cola sign without thinking of the Ad Blimp.

Thanks guys. I was thinking about taking silicone moulds and offering resin copies in the Prop Shop. What do you think would be a fair price?

Option 1: beige resin
Option 2: black resin
Option 3: cold-cast aluminium resin

With custom display stand and plaque.

... not really, of course! Imagine that! Laughing

I am thinking about stopping at the hardware store here soon. Though I would hope to find a used one instead of new...preferably with blood on it Wink

You could make a display out of it though.
Make a mold of your hand and shove that baby through it. Smile

Resin replicas?

You mean... you're not going to tear apart your entire loft and make the authentic metal spikes available here?

Great find!

It may sound silly but the fact is, I still have a couple of these sitting around. I thought I would offer them here before I throw them out. You just pay postage. Fair? Smile

Make no mistake - they're nothing special, just genuine old nails so they don't need to be 'aged' to look right.

If anybody would like one for their collection, please PM me to make sure they're still available.

Thanks!

Love it!

I'd want an iron spike, and I'd display it by simply impaling it through one of these:

I just picked up a coffee can full of these. Unused, but rusty. I am willing to send those for shipping only too.
