My buddy gave me a poorly cast resin kit a while back and was impressed with my build enough to give me his other kit for the price of a finished blaster. I found that neither one was superior, but both had good qualities.

This is the start of #2;

Looking good as a salvage project ...I'm sure Andy could tell us what's the make of that resin replica. Eager to see it finished.

That is one I have not seen before. It reminds me a lot of the Wilco that was a recast of the original resin Sidkit. The resin color looks the same. This one is a recast of the metal Sidkit pre-worldcon version. It is also separated into a few more parts than the Wilco kit. Any information on how/where it was obtained would be helpful to my research.

I don't know much other than it was probably found on eBay and it has Steyr misspelled as Stayr on the barrel engraving..

Ooops! I just realized I made a mistake here. This is a recast from a Hartford then. Not a Sidkit. I guess I didn't look closely enough.

Ok, so here's the nearly complete blaster. I just need to install the LED's. The colours were a request, but I think I would go a different direction if it were for me...
By the way, how do I activate these photos?

I think that might be a first gen MIM recast. I believe they used the hartford and a sidkit to make their first kits.

Nice build up either way! Smile

Thanks guys!
Tain, I am considering having some metal parts made for future projects, but this one was cast with the grip, barrel and cylinder all attached. It was kind of a lost cause.
I just purchased an interesting receiver and ammo housing from an old rifle that I'm looking at converting. It wasn't a Steyr, but it has some similarities.
