Hi all. I am doing a second Nostromo build for a fellow propsummit member. and while I do this build, I am going to do a larger than studio model Nostromo in excess of 10 feet long (clse to 11 feet long). I am moving stuff out of my garage now.
I am upscaling my current model into a super size Nostromo with operating lifts, shuttle hangar, illuminated bridge and bisters, and every possible detail I can think of based on all the research done on this forum. the goal here is to make the most incredible Nostromo model ever done. There will be some reference pics of the second ship on this thread as I upscale all the parts..... hang on to your hats......

That will be amazing! Can't wait to see it.

But if you start a 1:1 Nostromo after the 11 footer we'll have to stage an intervention.

As I was building this second one last night, I though.... "wow, I could just measure every panel on this hull and scale it up by a factor of 5.." The engines will need to be removable, I cannot see keeping it forever lol!

Using fellow propsummit member John's Nostromo I am building for him, as I assemble the engine Nacelles and main parts, I carefully measure each flat panel using millimeters, and then transcribe those measurements to paper stencil using an extremely large roll of translucent grade paper to a factor of 5.. These will form the basis of each hull panel. This is just the basic start, but as I get into making each measured panel, and then making the hull bulkheads, this process will all make sense.
