OK Here is the story:
These pictures were taken when the gun was cleaned up and rewired before the auction.
At the time I had no idea where this was done, but a short time ago I found out it was done at HMS prop shop.
I still do not know who took them.
I have received them from two persons both do not want their names given out.
I got the sets of pictures from the auction the same way. Not from the same people...

I just wanted to add some more thanks to the thread Rich. I really appreciate you sharing some previously unseen shots of the hero! Some cool stuff in there, and for blaster fanatics, it's pure, digital crack.

That photo, and the single line about it has been up on their site for quite a while. Sadly though, their site is really lacking in photos of any of their work! 
I'd love to see photos of the space pod restoration too. I LOVED that show when I was a kid. Still do. 
This is one reason I am thankful for communities like this one where true fans can argue, debate, share, and drool together.

I remember when I was putting together the SID KIT and I would refer to the worldcon shots for refrence ,thinking I wish there was more ...closer ...I wanted to reproduce the scratches lol
