Bryant Shot Glass - Prop as seen in Blade Runner

http://cgi.ebay.com/Bryant-Shot-Glass-Prop-seen-Blade-Runner-/180625005862?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a0e16dd26

From the description: "This is a clear heavy shot glass - the same type as the ones used in Chief Bryant's office in the sci-fi noir classic 'Blade Runner'. Heavy. These are not delicate, just meant to handle a man's whiskey. Extremely hard to find and highly prized." [Edit] "Many collectors have shot glasses like these except that they have measure lines. The lined glasses aren't true to the scene as you can clearly see. The reason collectors substitute the lined glasses is due to the rarity of the unlined ones. I know; it took me over a year to find these."

Says it's an antique but there's nothing to authenticate this.

Only $34.95!! (Buy Now price.) Hey, but free shipping!

It looks just like the ones that got thrown in with the JW whiskey bottles, ones I've picked up from Value Village, other collector shot glasses I've got through the years, and also available through Amazon.com for $12.49 a dozen which took me about 10 minutes to find. Looks like a standard Anchor Hocking 5282U 2 oz. fluted base whiskey shot glass to me... with no measuring line.

Pretty silly for sure. Especially since the lines can be taken off the more common glasses. "Rare" is the most misused word on Ebay.

Yeah, I figure acetone would probably take off the line on the glasses that have them silk-screened on. More difficult with the ones that are acid-etched though. Smile

The header is misleading: prop as seen in Blade Runner.
Somebody will see that and jump on the sale like an hungry flea on a dog.
You'll have to read further to see that there's a disclaimer saying that it's not an original prop.
I'll get mine at Wal-Mart thank you very much.

Thanks for sharing btw. Cool

Just seen and jump to another page almost inmediately.... Very HappyVery Happy

As said many times, some ebay vendors take "Blade Runner" as a great choice to sell everything... but, beware my firends (vendors), WE ARE SMARTER THAN YOU!!!
