REALLY want to build a 1/6 scale version of the grounded spinner, instead of the flying spinner. I have a few pics but would like as much reference pics as i can get. Willing to bartrer if neccessary... Very Happy

Now that'll be fun Mine is in flight (cannot help you there) 1/6 so it'll be around 45 inches long...something like that? I don't know why or how you're going to use it (in the film?) and if yes, it's easier to build half cars or 1/4 and use tricks like mirrors to extend what you don't have or other tricks Wink

I am using it as the vehicle of choice on his last mission before he retires... and thought it would be cool to see it, since it seems everyone else concentrates on the flying version. THOSE will also be in the film, albeit much smaller scale, and in the background. I am startting the film by using the original opening from an early script, having him arrive via bullet train and then making his way to his grounded spinner, and ending up in the aprtment where confronts a very dangerous "guest".

i am SUPPOSING that the sedan is roughly the same size as the spinner... which at my scale is 30.83 inches long. Found a line drawing of the vw chassis with mm dimesions and added them up ADDING the foot Mr Winfield mentions he added to them, and came within a hair of the number in question... so i am making it a scaled 15'5". Cool

Apart from the apartment, this is the one I always hoped someone would have a shot at.

yes... geometrically, it is a daunting task. but to see it in a large scale will be worth it... and necessary for the film.
