|
|
Hey all, as soon as I'm done with the sightrods I'm
making I would like to start making metal grip frames
for the Offworld guns. These would be a copy of the
stock frame so the original amber grips could be
used. I would just like to know if there is still some
interest in this.

I'm in! Please add me to the list. How would u feel about the rear cap of the upper receiver next? It's always bugged me that the receiver is metal and rear cap is plastic... |

What are the possibilities of making these a bit larger? Of course that would mean all new grips as well. I also second the request for the Steyr bolt end cap, as well as a metal trigger guard.

Hey guys, I've been out of town a couple of days.
I'm moving and that means my machines had to
move also. What a pain. Anyway I'll put you all down
on a list. The possibility is always there to make the
frames larger but as you also have noted the amber
grips would no longer fit so unless you have grips that
will you'll just have the frame. As far as the end caps
and trigger guards .... I think I'll just stick to the frames
for now.Who knows If I keep on making all these parts
all of you may just end up with a new damned gun .

Well Don, your work is such top notch that it's becoming difficult not to transform/improve resin guns |

These should really be made with the correct larger size/ correct angle.. The offworld is very unappealing to me because these issues. If they were up too snuff it would be a great piece. I realize I'm late in saying this and new to the community but it needs to happen sometime. |

Looks great Daddy. As to the grip angle mentioned above,
I changed mine by removing the top screw that holds the
inner grip frame and that allowed me to pivot the frame.
I then drilled a new hole and reinstalled the screw that
came with the gun. The hammer no longer works but
I don't ever pull the trigger anyway.

Don´s superb grip frame and sight rod.
Both arrived super quick and in perfect order.
I have already fitted the grip frame and its a brilliant fit, it tightens up the Offworld nicely, adds heft and improves the overall feel and look of the blaster. Sight rod will be fitted soon as I´m still part way through my rebuild so more info and details to follow in another thread but its safe to say Offworld owners should be looking at these lovely items.

Thanks to Don Parker |

Meant to post here some time ago!
Installed my grip frame and sight rod - they are *gorgeous* - up to Don's usual excellent standard. And he's so helpful too!
Has anyone tried adding the sight rod wires into an existing Offworld ammo box setup? I think it could be done, but am the first to admit that my electronics knowledge is not what it should be! |
