Hmm, interesting. I've seen a lot of modern versions of this kind of thing lately ("Architectural style lamps" one salesman said).

I know the lamp you are talking about. I remember seeing them around 30 years ago, but not much since. I also think I saw them mostly in magazines like Architectural Digest and the like. Kind of lamp you would find in a 1980's hotel. Same with the torchiere standing lamp in the corner of his living room.

Yep Andy...saw one several years ago and my comment was: "hey, looks like the one in BR"...and didn't buy it .
There's another mysterious one on the desk (with the open Halliburton hiding most of it) very particular in its design |
