|
|
Like the title says, I got thinking about these particular items recently, and want to try to find current sources and pricing for them.
First off, there's the BR Deckard ID Badge and Blade Runner Badge. I know the badge was never seen/used on screen, but all the same I find it really kewl.
Another Blade Runner item I'd be looking to get would be the Vid-Phon card. It'd give me something to slip into one of the wallet slots.
Though I don't have a pic to show, everyone here knows what the Blade Runner PKD Pistol looks like. Want to obtain one of the more accurate versions out there. I seriously doubt I'd ever be able to afford one of the Sidkit or Coyle versions, so a clean solid resin casting with separate amber-coloured grips would be fine.
Now, just to be clear on this, I'm simply looking to find sources/pricing for these. Not looking to buy them all at once, as I know I couldn't afford to. I just would like to know who to go to for these items, and how much to expect to pay for each. Trying to budget out my next few prop purchases in the coming months, starting in September.
If anyone can lend any assistance in this, it would be much appreciated
EDIT: Also, what would be a good match for the tri-fold wallet? And where would I find it? _________________ My friends, love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Although it's been a while, member Kevin did some of the wallet-type cards. I know he did a key card and the "$" credit card.
Might be worth messaging him to see if he still has anything. _________________ I find your lack of faith disturbing. . . |

Welcome Eric (I'm located in Ottawa btw)...for wallet and badges, your best bet is to search the PropShop. I don't remember who made those runs before, but by looking into the history of that particular topic you should establish a list of a few people. PM them and see if they could accomodate you. Good luck |

Thanks for the info SJ, I'll do that. Is that his real name or his screen name?

Get out! You're an Ottawan, too? It's not often I come across fellow prop enthusiasts in my own neck o' the woods. Only ever encountered a handful in Ontario or elsewhere in Canada.
I'll try to do a search for the items I'm looking for, hopefully something will turn up that way. Thanks! _________________ My friends, love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Well, a search of The Prop Shop forum didn't really turn up anything recent, except for Kevin's apartment key and $ card.
All of those way-kewl PKD replicas are out of my price range.
Sadly, I only have a very limited prop budget to work with, so really the best I can hope for right now would be a resin-cast piece with maybe separate cast grips.
And as nice as that screen-accurate wallet is, unfortunately it too is a bit out of my allowable monthly prop budget. Couldn't find anything for Deckard's ID badge or Vid-Phon card, unfortunately.
Clearly, my search for some of these items is going to be more difficult than I thought. _________________ My friends, love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Hello,
Here are some links:
Wallet with or without badge and lots of stuff. This run has been delayed a while but it's coming
http://propsummit.com/viewtopic.php?t=1657&highlight=
I believe you said you found this but just in case for Apartment card, etc
http://propsummit.com/viewtopic.php?t=2599&highlight=
Cool paper stuff:

VK cards:

Free money:

You may not have been able to find this stuff because the search on here is not the best.
This is everything I know of here for wallets. If you don't want the badge in the wallet run an LAPD replica badge is a good way to go but they are getting harder to find. The guy who did mine is gone. There is a nice Blade Runner Badge on Ebay usually but if you want to go that route let me know because there are good and then there are better versions of that one.
For the gun skip the resin IMO. I have one and it's nothing to have. If you can't save for a Coyle or other high end one save for the Off World M2019C Blade Runner Blaster. It can be found for $300 and is great as is or you can upgrade over time. Trust me and you will thank me. Just put a little aside and you will have it in no time. It will be worth it.
Hope this helps. |

Nice and cheap badge: (Says it's out of stock in one space and in stock in another???????)
http://www.collectiblebadges.com/item/165_blade_runner_neocron_police.htm
You can have fun with this one. I added a cool bar code type thing for the badge number on mine, then some other stripping, etc.
I have the accurate LAPD one in my BR wallet and this one on a stand. |

Wow!
Thanks for all those links, J. That's just what I was looking for to fill up the wallet. I'll be sure to contact those sellers to check availability.
And you're right; none of that stuff came up in the searches I did, lol.
As for the screen-accurate wallet run being done, as kewl as that is, like I'd mentioned in my last post above it's simply out of my price range.
Got a rather tight prop budget to work with right now, so I've got to be careful with how much I spend on a monthly basis.
Regarding the BR badge link you posted, I already checked that out, only to find out from them they're sold out and have no idea when they'll restock. I'm now working on confirming another source for that.
As for the PKD pistol, I have to admit I'm a little leary about the Off-World M2019C as I've heard a lot of issues with many of the parts.
Not only that, but as I live in Canada our laws are kinda strict about that sort of thing. I find it's a helluva lot easier to get a resin kit through Customs than it is a piece with working metal parts.
Unless of course, I took a trip down to the US to pick one up from someone, lol.
Thanks again for the links and info you provided me. It should all come in very handy for me in the near future. _________________ My friends, love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear.
