A nice dream, but pure (science) fiction. The idea that anything posted here has any influence on the film industry seems extremely remote to me, aside from possibly their "borrowing" a concept, here and there.

And I doubt seriously that I will be around in 2052. By then, static images and printed magazines will be but a distant memory - probably movies as well (as we now know them).

Thanks for the thought. Smile

With forest fires on the rise worldwide and landfills overflowing with plastics, are periodicals the next thing to fall, becoming an expensive habit of the addicted collector and the fortunate elite?
With information now at our fingertips on phones, pads and laptops, will publications be sacrificed if paper becomes the solution to the plastic question?

Is there a shred of hope for the printed word? Inquiring minds wanna know.

Every single tech creates a "Niche"...ex: how many people you know are writing a thank-you note (cursive with fountain pen)? Not many, I'm sure.
And yet, you'll find the expensive "Mont-Blanc" fountain pen in jewelry stores Confused
Status symbol or other reasons? Nope: Niche!

One day the magazines, newspapers and the like will be gone...but for a precious few and at an expensive price...for the "Niche" Wink
