Here is some news! I thought I would post a new thread because some folks have been waiting to hear about this.

Tomenosuke has told me that they will release a kit of the Hero Model (amber grips) Blade Runner Blaster only after most of the run of the upcoming black Police Model is sold out. However they will probably not sell a separate kit of just the unique Police Model parts (the magazine with no LEDs and the flat butt plate).

But will it just be an unbuilt wave of the currently completed wave (same price) or considered a different animal altogether and cheaper? And by kit do they mean unassembled but still cleaned up, or a fairly raw kit like the first version?

The mind boggles. I was going to pick up one of the completed kits after my move is finalized next month, but this sounds like the way to go if it's going to be available stateside.

I will be doing to improbable - mating a Coyle bulldog frame and barrel to tomenosuke parts with real greeblies. Best of both worlds, if hobbled together a bit.

Rich has been really helpful on his side-- a cheaper kit from the tomonosuke side would be even more so.

OK, I go back to the area devoted to Vid Phon and Clay pipes enthusiasts, there's too much blaster maniacs hanging around here imho !

Hey, I go both ways, but only because the BR stuff fits into the rest of my preferred style anyways. I've got BR stuff all over the house, and you'd never know it was part of the prop collection.

But bring on zee guns!

Have we gotten a price point on this yet, or a better idea about a release date?
