Too bad she didn't have it with her when Deckard confronted her. Not very sporting to fire on an unarmed opponent . . .

Well, if she had shot Deckard, we would've had a new movie plot in our hand

Thanks, Joberg! A Merry One to you as well.

No aerodyne, huh? Oh well . . .

As to FASH, I guess it's fitting we only have half of the image, because it's only half of the name . . . Smile

When it came to flesh and scales, Taffey Lewis didn't have a monopoly in Sector 4 -

A note about your MONI magazine cover just above. The legal clearance people almost pulled my MONI cover because it evoked perhaps too much memory of Omni magazine. I think I heard Michael Deeley say to them: something like ohhhhhh pleeeeeese you're kidding, right. So just think if I had used THEIR font!
Oh... the face I used on the cover was to be part of the ESPER logo.
At one point the computer Deck was using would talk to him with this wire frame face. (cool idea, huh?) but like many great ideas they had they cost too much to produce so I pulled that face off the esper logo. If you look hard and freeze frame you can see the logo. A stainless engraved plate!

You guys are amazing with your projects! I can't believe all the work you are putting into this. Truly stunned. Nice stuff.

Oh, ... About Dustin Hoffman, when Mr Scott was planning the look of BR he saw the film Agatha starring DH. He was very impressed with the photography (Vitorio Sterraro sp.) if you study this film you will find many rich and beautiful things that Mr Scott could reuse in BR...including Dustin.
A good lesson about this is the fact that when you are given the task of making a film you trawl to find the absolute best of everything you need in your film: photography, light, cast, wardrobe, settings, effects, props, music, ... absolutely everything. Then you hold that up as your goal and then press to improve upon THAT. It seems Mr Scott succeeded in those efforts, right?

Thanks for your comments Mr. Southwell, and welcome.

I had recently become aware of the Esper logo, but I had never heard the story of the animated wireframe. So many things were dropped back then, due to the high costs of time and money!

In the mid-80's, being an illustrator/designer myself, I used the limited references for your magazine covers as a guide to create a couple for myself. It was only after the Mac came into the picture that I decide to tackle them again and then to take a fresh look, updating the images while trying to remain true to the compositions and typography you'd established:

I still have a few questions (many of us here do). Perhaps with time you can address some of them.

For now, welcome, and thanks for the inspiration!

Thank you, Replicant13.
I will try to help where I can.
However I like the way you have embraced the look of BR and taken it the next logical steps.
Keep it up.

Ahh, the Esper...another elusive prop. Saw the logo on the behind-the-scene; I don't know if it was black ink or marker on a piece of white paper.
Later, Nick Daring, here on the board, did a recap of the different pieces used on the prop to achieve the look and lo and behold: the logo appeared at the bottom of the T.V. screen
