Hi all, just finished putting together passable Deckard and Rachael outfits, and wanted to start adding accessories. I've created the laminated black Police 995 ID card, but want to add the badge and wallet now, and I'm seeing a lot of different versions.

I couldn't find an actual screen shot of the metal police badge in the movie (or maybe I just missed it?), and wondered if some of the fine people here could advise me on what I need to go for. I've seen three metal LAPD versions:

"Detective" across the top withwith "Los Angeles Police" across the middle
"Blade Runner" across the top with with "Neocron Police" across the middle
"Blade Runner" across the top with "Los Angeles Police" across the middle

I've also seen a metal badge that's just a head shot in the middle with art deco detail surrounding it.

Is it just personal preference, or is there one badge that's considered to be the most accurate?

Would also love to know the best source for such an item, as well. I've seen several on the boards here, but it's hard to gauge quality from pictures.

Thanks much for any insight!

There was no metal badge used in the movie by Deckard/Ford. All the ones you see online are fan creations.

Yeah the ID card in the wallet is actually his badge. He shows it to the uniformed cop outside the place where Zhora died.

I too did these same costumes and got amazingly accurate!!! The wallet I used was an actual TRI fold LAPD wallet that held the very metal badge you see above! However after watching themovie several hundred times at least, I noticed he has no badge at all because he wasn't "officially" on the force again..."monitered" he uses his ID badge as was stated above...however, if you are making his briefcase I have extra replicant files (way cool ones) an extra PKD blaster manual and some extra Off World cash I might be willing to part with or trade for something?! Let me know I will try to round up my pictures if I can find them ...cheers!
