Here's the post:

Quote:

I got this kit over 15 years ago from John F. Green Models (how many remember that company?) There's no company info or scale info on the box, but the box itself is about twelve inches long if that helps you figure the scale.
It has very few pieces, two front "wheels", rear-view mirrors and the lights for the light bar. The whole thing is solid brownish resin and will need filling, sanding, etc. There are also NO decals so you'll have to figure out how and where to get those.
Yes, there are details on the bottom.

I'm asking $100 plus shipping in the U.S. I accept Paypal, cashiers checks or U.S. Postal money orders.

Best

Very cool. Pretty obscure kit. I kind of miss the days of garage kits like that in all the modeling magazines. I also still have a bunch of John F. Green mail order catalogs from the 80's. They used to advertise in the back of Starlog magazine. I had sold and traded stuff to them way back when.

Good luck with the sale Staar,
Andy

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but my son built me a John F. Green blaster for Christmas many years ago. Although the kit had many faults, I will treasure it always as a gift from his heart to mine …

Cheers for the wishes fella's but I'd like to point out that I reposted the details here because Joberg couldn't see the RPF thread.

A fellow named dropshipbob is selling it on RPF and since its a historical BR kit, I figured the gearheads here would appreciate seeing what he was selling.

Kind regards and best to you all..

MARK

This resin kit is a recast of the General Products vinyl Spinner Car body that was made in Japan for remote control cars. The original vinyl kit is very rare and comes in grey vinyl with a full instruction sheet. John F. Green was unfortunately know in the model kit hobby for selling a lot of re-casts. If I can find my General Products kit, I will post a picture.

That is a recast from the first ever (and only) licensed Spinner Car from Blade Runner.

Issued in light blue grey vinyl in Japan back in 1990-something. It came with a pretty accurate sheet of stickers, metal casted top lights. It was sold as a kit to be attached to a RC car unit, but it had an optional floor.

I have a original somewhere in the model kits closet.

I'm not sure if I used the right words… I have a closet full of model kits, yes.

I just remembered the kit producer, it was Doyusha.
