It is something we thought about a while back but seemed to not have a strong opinion on one way or another. The idea is that it would be a place that we post announcements about the forum, and alert each other when the site is down, or has a spammer hitting us. It could also be an extension of the coffee shop, and allow us to talk about more personal stuff. We would not want to use it as a way of promoting the forum, or taking over in any of it's function. It would likely be a closed group to members of the forum too, and would not be mandatory.

I don't have a Facebook account and don't intend to ever have one.
I check the RPF from time to time and some of the comments on certain build, WIP and various project can get very "Facebooky"...and it's just not my cup of tea Wink

I don't mind the idea of it. I find facebook a great way to keep in daily contact with friends and family I would not otherwise be in contact with.

Ditto... I really hate the place, was registered once for one week, find the place scary and cancelled my account immediately.

Shocked

This to say, I don't have any opinion on the Facebook extension Andy, sorry...

I personally stay clear from Facebook. Don't have an account and will probably never have one.

Never used Facebook. Don't see any reason to do so.
