I put a small screw in mine so it stays put. Some other folks have installed better triggers and put spring tension on them so they can be pulled. _________________ I don't have enough blasters! |

I'll post a picture of it later on. I got the idea from the hartford model. They use a screw of sorts to attach the forward trigger. It's not really a screw though. I used a much smaller screw than they did. _________________ I don't have enough blasters! |

Posted: Sat Feb 02, 2013 1:21 pm Post subject: Adding a SMALL spring to the front trigger / COYEL blaster |
|
|
I just finished building one of Riches last PKD BRU 2012 Blaster kits.
I used one of the left over SMALL (really small) springs to do this.
First you will need to remove the trigger. you can do this with a nail to push the trigger pin out GENTLY, remove the trigger, then you will see an indent half cut out(?) in the rear of the trigger.
You can "screw" the spring in and secure it with a drop of Supper Glue.
You will not get a lot of pull action as there isn't much room between the triggers but it WILL stop the wobbly trigger effect.
The hardest part will be putting it back in as the tension from the spring makes it hard to align the holes up properly to drop the trigger pin back in place.
If this seems too hard, then use the small screw suggestion. IF you have an OffWorld Blaster handy, look at their front screw behind the front trigger as this is how they secured it on the OffWorlds.
ps.
In the near future I will be posting a few build photo's of my assembly. _________________ "No choice pal,..."

Here is the cut out aria in the rear of the front trigger I am refrancing.

You MIGHT even be able to do this without removing the trigger.
I do not know how much of an cut out your Coyel PKD BRU Blaster has as there are slight differences due to the fact that Rich's Blasters are ALL HAND made. _________________ "No choice pal,..."

Sorry I have not been answering..
Remember once-bitten triad on my front triggers breaking frames if pulled??
I fixed it to help stop that..When i put them together I add a drop of super glue to hold it.
And supper glue will break lose and stop any frame breakage.
The spring idea sounds good as well.
The slot is there BECAUSE......Class....??
Because it was there on the real one of course...
