Recently some airsoft companies restocked the short barrel version of the COP 357, but I hesitated because of part of the barrel being dayglo orange per US import, and now they're sold out.

I was thinking of getting the long barrel version (which is still in stock) with the intention of cutting down the barrel making it into the "derringer" version. I hoping to avoid the orange barrel tip thing in the process.

Does anybody know about this long barrel version and is there any potential problem shortening it?

Is the barrel just a hunk of plastic I can take a bandsaw, sandpaper and paint to?

Thanks!

J

Good question; you would be the first to do so (to my knowledge), generally people just buy the regular short barrel one.
I'm sure others will chime in with more expert answers...good luck with the transformations

I thought about this too, and wondered if it might be hollow in the body of the gun in that section. I'm almost willing to risk it.

Cool

The second option I considered was removing the barrel, casting it, and then cutting it down and drilling out the barrels.
