Now that's just mean!
Anyone have a CNC machine to contribute to the cause?
I really would love some real stained, wood grips to go with my future kit!

Karl...
I'm planning on buying one of these once I get back from vacation... I PRAY there will be at least one left! At any rate... once I receive it, I'm having my brother make me some wood grips for it. He builds the interiors of yachts so even though he doesn't have a cnc yet... I'm sure he can knock out some grips pretty quick.
If you're still searching at that point I'll check back with you and see if I can hook you up! |

I really would like to make the wood grips, but I also don't have a cnc machine and would cost to much ask to a third party to make them for me. I thought that as the most of people did with my Blade Runner Blaster, some particulars could be improved from the fans. However I can assure that following my on-line instructions you can paint the resin grips to look identically to the wood ones. I didn't want to offend nobody, I know that a lot of you are a very taleneted builders and I thought that the grips wouldn't be a problem. And as I always read, happens to be helped from the others.
So, have fun!! _________________ www.sidkit.com |

I completely understand the reasons Siderio.
Part of the fun in building your kits is the little details that everyone changes to make them unique models.
You can see that in the multiple metal blasters that everyone entered in the contest, including mine.
So perhaps I will try my luck with your painting method after I order my kit and see how it turns out!

As discussed on the RPF, I have one of my grip makers working up some 1:1 walnut grips scanned off the plastic ones
Once he gets them done, he will add them to his website for direct orders. Price should be $45 a set, and custom laser etching (Firefly kanji, Chinese dragons, etc.) will be upgrade options.
Sidero, I emailed you with his "dealer" price offer so the two of you can chat and perhaps work something out
