Wow. Im a spinner nut and think thats one of the most awesome things ive seen. All it lacks is the final dressings on the interior, which is why I like it so much, could imagine hours of fun doing that. Pretty much everything else is all there, love the detail on the seats. Thanks for posting Harry.

Tim.

This is the one that was later used as part of a photo shoot with...ummm, some h'metal/rock band, way back when. Can't remember what the group's name was now and even though I was looking at the web page yesterday can't find it again.

The screen had a crack across it and that was partially repaired with red tape, as well as having that weird blue painted-over lower section. The front wheel cover light mounts have had the clear perspex painted over apart from a triangle shaped area in the center. The front center light mount has been partially painted over as well, at each end of the clear perspex.

Not too sure if all this tweaking was done solely for the album photo shoot or was done to try to maintain the car. Is this the same car that was fully restored and now hangs from the ceiling of the Seattle Science Museum?

I think the photos are on my old drive which is in storage at the moment.

The rock band Was Iron Maiden of course. In their Blade Runner inspired album 'Somewhere in Time", they had pics of them sitting in the spinner in the insert. They also played the Blade Runner End Titles track from the New American Orchestra version of the soundtrack before their concerts for that album in 1983 iirc.

Ok I have 2 small photos of the band one they stand on and in front of the spinner. And the other one has 2 guys inside found them on the NET. Just wondering about the others. I love seeing any rare spinner shots. Cool
