I enjoyed that read very much.
I own a Signed copy of Sentinel which I personalty got at a 80s Comic Con and a special copy of Oblagon.
They are fantastic books and designs...
Thanks for the link.

I had a few of my books signed by him when I met him at RIT a few years back. We actually got to hang with him and his partner for over an hour after the presentation. I wish I had better questions to ask back then, so I could have posted the interview here. I probably could get to talk with him again online though. I didn't get my copy of Sentinel until after I met him either. I did learn he is a Mac computer fan at least.

TFS Andy, always good to read a Syd Mead interview. Cannot wait for Elysium, seems a like a winner to me. |

I've admired his illustrations since the early 70's when I was a kid. He's been a major influence on my imagination throughout my life. |

Syd Mead is super talented.
Elysium was super sucky though. Had a third act and climax of a Van Damme or Steven Segal movie. So clunky and bad.
And there is some Prequel George Lucas directing going on to make Jodie Foster give that "performance". I heard they tried to strip away her Oscars for this one.
The Police robots and some of the sets where super cool though. |
