|
|
This is the thread for holsters for Rick's Snub and Enforcer models.
This first design is a thumb break, crossdraw model. It's material total thickness is around 3mm. It's a top grain leather shell, fully lined with chocolate brown suede. It's an 'SG' model, soft grip, designed for the delicate finish of painted resin models. The hold is very light but very secure. The thumb break is functional.
This will be available with Rick's PKD shield logo debossed into the leather. The holster is entirely hand stitched with synthetic thread for strength. I do mean hand stitched
These holsters will run USD$149.00 a piece.
Here is the prototype, just finished.

Thanks very much!
Tried to get it as real world looking as possible, but still gentle enough to handle a painted resin model without damage. Lining with suede is a pain, as it requires the entire border of the holster to be stitched, but it's worth it. The suede really goes a long way to protecting the model.
I'll be using this as the baseline concept for the holsters for the other models too.
Each will require it's own design, but they'll all start from this idea.

Great work proper. This should work for all Rick's PKD snubs as well, I would think.

Yes, I think so.
Perhaps Rick could chime in and tell us for certain.
I know the Snub and the Enforcer both fit perfectly.
