Yes, a black rubber Blaster is coming from Tomenosuke - Syoten.
I've once again been asked to help with the artwork for the packaging. This bagged in a plastic bag, with a cardboard topper.

I'm just thrilled to be a part of all his Very Happy

Meanwhile my Blaster Pro Assembly kit is still lingering at Danish customs Sad

Jakob,

I note that your artwork shows the stunt version of the butt plate. Is that the way the rubber blaster is going to be?

Of course the ultimate stunt version would be a rubber gun with clear amber grips!

Well, we should have amber grips to fit the Tomenosuke Pro assembly kit very soon.
Not exactly rocket surgery to cut the cast in rubber grips off and glue a new set of ambers on.....

I would be willing to guess between $100-$200, just by their previous offerings, but if they decide to do a larger run, it could be lower. I really would love to get at least one of these. I am impresses with the quality of their work, and even more so for their love and enthusiasm for my favorite prop from my favorite film. I have also always wanted one of these since I first saw the film used ones on line, and though people have called their replicas "Stunts", they just seem to lack the feel of a real studio stunt gun. I have held a few stunts of real world weapons before, and they are pretty heavy, and just seem cool all on their own. I really would love to get one of Adam Savage's versions of the stunt sometime too. I am sorry I missed the chance 20+ years ago when the original screen used ones were selling for less than a $1000. Always need a new one for the collection too Very Happy

Nice! Anyone in the UK planning on getting one? I'm guessing these so called Police 'gun experts' will argue it can be made into a shooter! Rolling Eyes

I am absolutely IN for the Tomenosuke rubber stunt...I have simply been unwilling to spent the (well worth the money...simply too rich for my blood) Tomenosuke blasters made available so far....

...can someone share the process that will be required to obtain...when and if available?

This Is how I was told the Blaster on the artwork should look.

But I can't comment on anything that hasn't been shown or written on the official Tomenosuke blog. I hope you understand.

Looks like they are making the molds without the grips in place. I wonder if they will be able to be interchangable with Pro grips? It is also being molded without the sight rod. I was kind of hoping for a one piece mold to keep it affordable. But I still will likely get one...depending I guess.

That's a surprisingly low tech approach to casting the stunts, especially since we would anticipate the production run to be at least 300 pieces. Maybe this is to make intermediates for a gang mold. Nice to see that the grips are separate. So we can put the same piss yellow ones on the stunt as well!
