Totally legal. It's a costume badge. I've seen many LAPD collectors badges. They are totally legal to collect, it's using them that is majorly illegal and will result in you doing time.
Kill someone and you may get in trouble.
Use a badge, especially an LAPD badge to represent yourself as a Police Officer and you are going to jail for a while.

Actually I believe it's still legal to collect real badges as long as they are only displayed as a collectible in the home.

| I have a few of those badges...not parting with them.but they are cool to have! Mine are not the correct badge number however...I did modify one but it didn't come out to well...that one is very nice! |
