AFI's 100 years & films is on from 8 to 10, and the rumour goes a commercial for the new DVD release of Blade Runner will air, and guess what folks, BRAND NEW FOOTAGE will be shown. I believe recently shot zhora footage may be what we see.

It happened about 1 hour into the show. It was freaking exciting as hell and even though I did not get a good look at the added scenes, it still brought a little tear to my eye seeing this on TV.

I am really stoked that there might be a theatrical release!

Yeah, I saw it too. The copy appeared on screen, and my jaw dropped. It looked so freaking GOOD, didn't it? And it sounded good. I mean the movie looks like it could have been something new. It was a great trailer.

And hey, BR was #97, and they even Got HF to talk about it a little in a favorable way. Who knew?

But the best comment was "Ridley and I had some competition about whether Deckard was a replicant. I resisted the idea of being a replicant, as I suppose, a replicant would." Well, that's a pretty close to what he said anyway, but he said it with a sly grin that I thought was cool.

I didn't catch anything I haven't seen already. Mind you some of the shots were from the workprint, so those are "officially" new, but not new to the die hard fans who have sit through the recopied a 1000 times workprint!

Well, I'll tell ya, that youtube clip just doesn't do the trailer justice because of the resolution. This was broadcast in HD quality I believe, and the richness in colors and the clarity of the images was like watching those clips for the first time all over again.

Andy, when I get home at lunch time I'll try and post the Hf interview to youtube for ya. He was the only one who spoke about the film.
