Getting help from ebay on resetting password

So, it was a long time since I did any deals (huh, on ebay ?) on ebay and I've been trying for a loooong time to reset my password for my account. I've tried mailing, visiting the support centre online and everything else that I can think of too get an email with a link so I can reset my password but I had no luck at all.

The email address that the account has is active and I know that username. I have tried all thinkable passwords I've had/have with no success.

Any help from you wizards are highly wanted

If you have trouble logging in and you hit the button for "forgot your password" it will email it to you, at least a link to change it. The only issue is that if that email is gone or your account has been hacked and taken over.
