|
|
Guys,
I'm just tying up the research on a replica of the Bladerunner streetcops' duty holsters, with a view to making replicas available.
It's taken a while. Not only have none of those made for the movie ever surfaced, but there's hardly any decent reference.
I am finally there though. I'm happy.
if I were to make a replica holster, fitted for BR blasters, and screen accurate, hand stitched, for around $195.00 each, shipped, who would be interested?

Yes, I will show something soon.
I want to gauge interest first though, as there's a ton of work and money in the tooling and prototyping and I want to be sure the finished holsters are going to find homes among the faithful
I'm into third stage prototyping now, but won't post anything until I have a production sample, rather than a rough proto to show.

Sean Morgan (morganthirteen) might be into this too. I know we need to get back some of the members that might not know we are back up too that would be into this.

Good point.
Well, let's wait and see.
I'll keep the work going toward a production sample.

Hi,
I've been waiting to see what the response has been to the proposal of the holster.
Honestly, very disappointing.
It's up in the air at present.
I won't go to the trouble and expense of making patterns and prototypes of a holster for which there's no market.
I had thought the response would have been more encouraging, but you can never tell. Life's full of surprises

I know, I feel the same.
I've done a lot of research into this piece.
If the holster were screen accurate, priced at around $165.00 and we could get 10 interested parties, I'd do a run.
If 10 were to sign on as interested I would consider that encouraging enough to commit to the pattern and prototype making stage.

I'm in, if these are shipped from the UK (meaning no import taxes for me, located in Belgium). I assume these will nicely fit a Coyle Blaster?
Let's see if we can get to 10. Maybe try asking the question on the RPF too? |

I am interested but I would first like to see photos before I make a decision. Is this possible?

MB,
No one will be asked to send payment at the start, or even during the run. Funds will only be requested when I have the finished product in hand, ready to ship.
Long before that happens, a production sample will be made and photographed, and the pictures posted here.
If you check my other threads, you'll see the standard of my leather work. I flatter myself that the work speaks for itself...
At this stage, we're after numbers of interested parties only.
The current list:
1. Nyreaper
2. Andy
3. Tomvdj
4. Master Blaster
5.
6.
7.

It's a good idea.
I'm not a member of the RPF and so cannot post there.
If anyone would like to, please feel free to direct them here to this thread.

Karl, did you ever manage to get one of those black rubber blasters from Tomenosuke? _________________ "F*ck it, it's just a movie. Let him worry about it" Harrison Ford |
