Wow, this is cool, and as an owner of a Hartford Capfire gun, this is still very enticing, and a bad time to be broke. Takagi and Elfin Knights have impressed me again.

What's daft is I have a firearms license with a few rifles and a pair of black power revolvers but I can't import a non-firing replica.

These are a lot like the old cap fired blow back models of the 80s.

I had a number of them and after a few rounds of firing found it was so much trouble cleaning and reloading the automatic model rounds that it was no fun, it took only a few seconds of firing with a hour of cleaning and reloading.

The thread were so fine that even a little bit of dirt messed them up.

I lost a few rounds due to the thread jamming. At lease then you could buy more rounds.

After a few times with these and I started selling them off, it just was too much trouble playing with them.

I then bought real guns which I do not need to take apart, clean and reload.

Shame they could not have made then as a simple cartridge with cap loading in the back like a primer and just used solid brass round with holes for the sound and smoke than these complex things.

With the Blade Runner Blaster, I can have a lot more fun with one of my models with a real Bulldog in it and fire either blanks or even real rounds at a target on a shooting range.

2 questions. How much of this gun is actually metal? (there was a link to a picture describing it, but the link is dead) and how accurate is this one compared to the Tomensuke version? Sure looks really great!

Rich is right. I to had one of those cap firing blow backs years ago. Not worth all the hassle and frustration involved. I wonder how the plastic parts will hold up after prolonged use as well as the finish. You really want a shooter that lasts, your better off building a real one. Bulldogs are pretty cheap.

I would say it is a very good buy.

Very accurate and they were doing Blaster models before the pro.

Perhaps even before me.

But that would have be before 1985...

Here's a few clear pictures of the Takagi, plus what looks like some preproduction stuff.

Received mine yesterday. I thisnk this is the most accurate blaster ever produced to this moment. I would have preferred a metal casted receiver and barrel, and the cylinder cover painted in gloss black. But accuracy, detail and dimension like this is the most accurate one. And I have had 3 Tomes.

I wouldn't hesitate if I had the money.

Hi Spinner,
I am new to the Tomenosuke blasters; how many versions are there with the new one, 4? The Pro, the Pro Police, the Worldcon and the Pro Retail?

My Takagi just cleared customs... Although that silver custom version haunts me. I may have to give you some business Mr. Coyle....
