Last details on the module that's half cladded and that's it...it's done!

Joberg,

By that's done do mean it's all finished or just that section?

Do you have both wheels in place now?

Looking forward to seeing it all together and photographed.

Brilliant work.

Colin

Just that section, minus the bridges, standing cable tensors and the cables themselves (building them now).

The next challenge is the built rim and its more than 200 windows (lit) and all of the details that you can cram on one surface

Joberg,

The model is bigger than I thought it was.

Thanks guys...Colin, the models in that movie were big for sure and for good reasons. Amount of details was insane and the final shots looked so real because of it. Hopefully, my little short film will capture the same ambiance when all is finished.

Tx for those Bwood...probably the only ones concerning the Discovery; S.Kubrick had forbidden anyone to take "casual pictures" of that model Confused

Here are the bridges being affixed to the spokes.
Another 4 and I'll consider that side of the model done!

Well folks, that "Under Construction Rim" is finally finished.
I took some shot with a black backing. It should've been taken in the complete darkness for the shots to work...we'll do some tests next week-end.

That's it for now...a little break during my vacation (gotta do some renovations in the house...the wife will be happy)

Gosh, I really wish we already had one of these up there...

In the meantime, I'll just keep being baffled by your build.

Cheers!

Looking great as ever joberg.

Looking forward to the photographs against black.

Will you have one main light source that represents the sun and then possibly some fill!

I guess you want harsh lighting to give strong shadows.

As always an impressive build.

Colin
