Cheers Bwood,

Its an open book as far as storylines etc. Would be cool to see Max, Goose and the rest of the whacky MFP crew in a cityscape.
Here`s another Ford Australia design, its all Mad Max up front and Dark Knight at the back! Kinda works. What are the bad guys driving if this is how the cops get around?

In regards to the use of older vehicles issue, here`s part of a just released USA Today interview with George Miller....

Due to the state of the world, the technology tends toward the old school as well. Furiosa has a mechanical arm that's pretty much straight out of the 19th century, and the Frankenstein-esque monster battle rigs are dated as well, deathmobiles with humongous exhaust pipes adding to intimidating exteriors.

Any modern car with any computer chips in it or something that you can't replace, it's probably not going to survive," Miller says. "And with crash technology and stuff like that, you want a good solid vehicle. You're going to want to go to a scrap heap.

"They are a hybrid: There are some modern cars, but mainly they're the big, clunky mid- to late 20th-century stuff."

Make sense that you'd want a car that's easily repaired and ready to go with any kind of stuff available to you (heck, if it's holding and rolling with steel wire, that's good enough for this world Wink ).

TFS Tim!

Found this fantastic replica Immortal Joe respirator for sale.....

https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/208609397/skull-respirator-half-mask

Like Blade Runner, Mad Max fans have pretty much had to look after themselves in terms of merch and replicas so its great to see some stuff coming out even before the movies release.
Hope they are still around in a couple of months.

First theatrical trailer`s been out a few days now.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMzqHuT8a4k

Cannot wait.

Lot of folks online still mistaking real action effects with CGI. It also helps to know that this is the first part of a trilogy that Miller has already written/storyboarded and is planning to shoot.

You bet J, there`s soo much to look forward to here beyond the minutiae of the universe. Every time I see Charlize Theron in a frame it just sizzles, the shot of her in despair on the
dunes looks phenomenal. Miller knows how to work a frame and some of the zoom in-extreme close up shots in the trailers get me excited. Then add the 3D element.

Just noticed this guy earlier, takes the Kilgore method to a whole other level. Cant wait to hear what track he`s belting out on that axe.

Been waiting for a manga version for a while, this possible comic book universe looks great and could start the ball rolling on a lot of projects.

The new cars will never be able to touch those Interceptors
from the original guys not now not ever. No matter what CGI or kits these use.
The last of the v-8s Smile

I like the guy he's cool but Gibson is Mad Max always . I think the trailers look great but I have heard this film has blown way over budget and they have had to reshoot the ending several times.

They did a great job on those original cars, cinema icons. The Wasteland is no place for an MFP Pursuit Special though.

I think the budget issue was more like the Exec`s allowing Millar to go back and shoot a very expensive scene involving a massive lifter
on the back of the vision they had already seen. A good thing.

Some incredible news for the Art of fans....
