So what sort of blaster is this? This definitely isn't a cap gun! Or is it with some special load? Looks pretty badass! Any information on this would be great guys.

That is a Blaster model with a real Bulldog in it.

I believe it is made with one of my Metal kits.

So bulldog frame and the kit outsides? Do I even want to know what a bulldog frame goes for?

Charter 44 Special Bulldogs can be had for around $350-$500 all over Gun broker.

The older ones are the actual one but the newer "PUG' 44 model is 95% the same gun and when everything is covered up with Blade Runner parts no one would be able to tell anyway.

Considering how cheap Bulldogs are (old joke, you should fire 500 rounds to be sure a weapon is good, but do that to a Bulldog and you have worn it out) Using a new model seems a very good idea.

If you never going to fire one then a old Bulldog is OK.

It is hard to find a old stainless steel as needed, so you will need to strip off the Bluing.

The new models it is hard to even get a blued model.

I have some REAL 4.5 custom barrels offered in the Prop Shop.

Well everyone in the world thinks americans all have 10 guns, but actually where I live (NYC) I think it's harder to (legally) get a gun than in the UK. When looking for a toy gun to play with modifying for a blaster I discovered we even also have restrictions on toy guns.. nobody would ship to NY. Rolling Eyes

Yeah, I've heard that it can be tricky in the UK... The gun laws in Denmark are actually more liberal. Here a replica is a replica, and as long as it doesn't fire it's legal... Cartridges are illegal though! Rolling Eyes So as one of few I've imported a Coyle blaster a year ago... I look at it every day!

But a firering one... THAT would be WICKED! But not going to happen....

Also with the UK importing is the problem, so far I have not heard of anyone getting into trouble with owning a weapon model within the UK.

Did anyone ever ask one of the crew or prop master of the film about the color of the gun?

You can TRY.

Phil and I talked with the prop master and was fed a couple of lies....

This is a nearly 40 year old film...they do not remember.

I bet you will get as many colors as we are talking about.

Rich

PS That is a real stainless steel Bulldog with a real stainless steel barrel.

Agreed. This would be the goal, a working blaster.

Again NOTE that is real Bulldog Stainless steel and a real stainless steel barrel, I then died the pewter to match them.

Add 20 years and it will look like the Worldcon blaster only lacking some rust.

Looking cool as usual Rich. There's a few members here (and RPF) that have working BR gun. It's just that the transformation from static prop to real live ammo gun is not for the faint of heart Smile

One cost add $350.00 plus $175.00 for a real Bulldog and custom barrel.

Then all the drilling and taping and fitting of the model parts.

Then to be safe firing it a custom screw to hold the cylinder closed.

And more.
