I have done a few google searchs using different key words and have not had much luck. I used to have an magazine with Syd next to the parking meter(as I recall). Does anyone have this picture that they can post? Any other pics would be appreciated as well.

Thanks in advance.

There is a video of Syd next to the meter describing it. It was video for some convention I think.

This is the video:

i managed to snag 12 shots from the convention reel... bad as the quality is, still rather helpful. Anyone who wants these can email me at wigley_b@yahoo.com

TFS Ben Cool ...and SLK, be careful because the first pics of that parking meter (the CGI one in Ben's first post/link) is not accurate: the base is completely different than the real prop Wink

Good luck on the project!

Hi, just wondered what scale would you base it on?

I SCALED THE FIGURED BASED ON A MEDIAN HEIGHT OF SYD BEING 5'10... I GOT 55 INCHES FOR THE HEIGHT OF THE PARKING METER. if someone knows his actual height, we re-scale from that.

I think 55 inches is too big. I'm 6'2" and my arm is raised parallel to the ground when I'm positioning myself on the measuring tape.

If you look at the pic, Syd's arm is also pretty much in the same position. I don't think he's my height, so I would do it at 50 inches instead Wink

Edit: a Google search gives me the average height of a parking meter at 53 inches. Don't know if they respected that measurement (could be) or decided to go lower Confused

i cut and paste the curb section for a scale reference... its about 8 curb heights high... so, at 6inches the shortest it would be is 48 inches...
