This is a little scale model Vid Phon I've been working on, this is just a smaller test 3D print, before I do a 1/6th scale backlit illuminated model.

I'm still also working on a full size one Wink

Not sure, I might, a 1/6th scale one would take quite a while to print

Beautiful Cool Love the details you've put into it! Yep, I think quite a few members here would like a 1/6 scale for sure.

Printed a 1/6th scale one today, took 7 hours Shocked even with quite thin side walls, I'd be up for printing some if others want some? I'm planning to get the front printed as a proper sticker and mount on to thin clear acrylic, I could also get them printed at some where like shapeways but they would cost about £26 or $40

and I also made a template for the full size one tonight, front edges to be rounded, I was going to use some large plastic tube, but I've changed my mind and will be cutting about 4 of these in ply wood and mounting them together one above the other and I also have plans to vacuum form the sides over a mould which I'm also working on, and vacuum form the top lid part, might be able to sell these as kits later on.

Very nice! Smile Maybe casting these in metalic powdered resin could work and save time and money on the printing. Anyone had any experience with that?

Would that involve making a silicone mould?
