Supposedly there 47 minutes of cut footage in the documentary.

Cut and paste from digital bits....

Quote:
Next, Charlie revealed that the set will also include a whopping 47 minutes worth of deleted scenes, not seen in any previous version of the film. He then proceeded to debut an exclusive clip of some of this deleted footage. Now... Todd and I had the chance to preview all 47 minutes of this deleted material on Wednesday night, before our panel, and I can tell you first-hand that you have absolutely NO IDEA just how cool this material is. It's not just 47 minutes worth of deleted material - it's like getting a 5½ th or a 6th version of the film itself. The material is all edited together chronologically, to create an encapsulated version of the story. It starts with a completely new opening credits scene and new special effects shots of the 2019 L.A. cityscape. Then you get scenes you've seen before... but it's all put together using alternate takes, different camera angles and other completely unused footage. There are also a number of true deleted scenes, including a few that no one outside the production even knew existed before. All of this is set to music from the film and newly-looped sound effects... as well as Harrison Ford's voiceover narration. But get this: This narration is a completely different take than what was in the original theatrical version of the film, and it's just totally different. Different lines, different dialogue. We think it's actually BETTER than what was ultimately used in the film!

Amazing. I can hardly wait until December!
I wonder what vehicle Deckard is in- in this shot? Looks like too much glass for his regular sedan.

In the souvenir magazine they show a scene that was filmed of them diving off in the sedan on a country road...

Additional text with photo from Souvenir magazine...

Quote:
Deckard and Rachael flee to freedom.

Exterior moving trees- day

Birch trees whip past at 160 miles per hour urged on by big, nasty music.

We have the feeling we are going to see a unicorn.

Instead we see Deckard's car rocketing through the woods.

Interior Deckard's car- day

Deckard is at the wheel, Rachael is beside him.

Deckard smiles at her.

Rachael smiles back, tentatively

Deckard glances back at the road, then at the vid screen.

Deckard notices it, his eyes narrow just a little. He reaches in his pocket, pulls out the unicorn.

Deckard puts the tinfoil unicorn on the dash.

A flicker of a smile crosses his face.

Exterior woods- day

Deckard's car bullets through the woods in a fury of speed and music.

We back off it and up, past whizzing branches, over the treetops, losing the car as we soar over what is suddenly a vast forest spreading to infinity.

Enormous music!

Deckard (Voice Over)

Gaff had been there... and let her live. Four years, he figured... but he was wrong. Tyrell had told me Rachael was special. Not only had he given her memories... but he'd set no termination date. I didn't know how long we'd have together... but who does?

They had an interior set model for the flying spinner with Deckard and Gaff, so they probably just reused it as they had for the scenes outside the Bradbury with Deckard in his sedan.

Yeah, most of the adaptation novels were based on the screenplays, and Deckard even goes so far as piss off Bryant by telling him he's taking a spinner.

Maybe they shot that! Shocked

hmm, not to keen on that new dream sequence. I liked the old one which had a more drifted away feel to it. The new edit breaks it up too much.

Was there any new footage in the zohra scene?

Why don't you want a sequel? I sincerely doubt it would have Deckard and Rachel in it, and personally I'd love to see Ridley do another film in this world, and with this kind of subject matter, now that he's an even better director than he was 25 years ago. The man is still one of the best, IMHO.

Agreed, he's not a replicant (but let's not go there!)

I'd like see a sequel but only of 'Aliens' standard. Sequels, in general, suck.

Man. . . just saw this thread. Just saw the clips.

Shocked

Guess I have a reason now to buy an HD-DVD player.

Did anyone notice the Logan's Run "Carousel" masks on those dancers??
