You zoom on over to Amazon and pre-order your 5 disc uber-edition of BR that comes in that lovely haliburton style case with the spinner and other goodies for less than $55 at amazon right now.

http://www.amazon.com/Blade-Runner-Five-Disc-Ultimate-Collectors/dp/B000K15VSA/ref=pd_bbs_3/105-6963488-3393239?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1185743621&sr=8-3

Thank God for credit cards!

As I am flat broke presently in every other way . . .

$55 I can handle.

This will be my Chanukah present to myself this year.

I do not think that is the FINAL product shot as I do not believe the unicorn will make it to the final production piece.

That's too bad, I dig the Unicorn. Ultimately though, that isn't enough to make me not buy it!! Smile

Out of curiousity, what is it that makes you think that?

With tax and whatnot, my total at Amazon was a little more than $65.00...this is a pain I can handle.

Dang! I busted up my elbows leaping for my keyboard to order my copy!

Thanks for the heads-up.

(Did anyone happen to get to the BR panel at Comic-Con?)

Does anybody know if this briefcase set will arrive in hd-dvd or blueray?

For the SE I heard they shot extra scenes with Ford's "chef" son Benjamin as Deckard?? Confused

Man, I am sorry that you have been getting no love on these BR sets. If you go to the official site, WB has a link for preorders that is equivalent to Amazon. Not sure if they are only domestic or not.

Since this is a pre-order, does anybody know if Amazon will charge my card now or when it ships? Money's tight right now with my upcoming move, but will most certainly ease up by December.

Good, an alternative pre-order site for those who try to avoid Amazon. Buy direct. Sounds good to me. Thanks for the link.

From the look of the pictures, the unicorn looks like it might be a solid plastic 'replica', and not actual folded paper. Still kind of cool. I think political correctness maybe the only reason it didn't contain his Gun as a replica.

I personally was also hoping for 3D lenticular versions of Leon's photos. Sounds like we are just getting a lenticular motion card with a film clip, maybe from the workprint.

I have heard that Warner Brother does have the license to have merchandise produced that promotes the DVD and movie releases. We have seen the key chains and posters already. Maybe other stuff will come out as well, but I have a feeling it may be of the 'cheap and cheesy' variety. I hope to see some other stuff, especially more spinner stuff. Master Replicas/Corgi has not returned my emails about it. They usually give me a canned response at least. So who knows?

BTW take a close look at this giant pic of the case...especially the top logo...
