Those blaster have certainly set the standard. They're just artwork. Congratulations to all you lucky ducks who put down the coin to get them!
Maybe some day I will join the club.
I wanted to ask. Something Adam mentioned in the recent video is the grip to frame fit being flawless and smooth.
How close are these blasters to that? _________________ I don't have enough blasters! |

Let me know what specific spots you'd like to see and I can snap some pics for you. |

I have one of the last run of assembled Tomenosuke blasters with the matte receiver. The action on that it is ... temperamental. Pulling the trigger half way between cylinder detents you end up with a locked up action. You have to manually force the cylinder to release it again.
In the handbuilt version it seems that Tobu-San worked over the action so that is no longer an issue. Really slick. |

Shorten the threaded end of the weaver knob or slotted screw by a 1/32" or so and voila problem solved.
The screw is too long and binds up cylinder/mechanism. |

This version has hand polished and blued receiver and cylinder done by Nobutaka Toku himself which some folks, like me, prefer. He also hand fits the parts. Does it warrant the doubled cost of the assembled pro? That depends on you. I can get two top quality functional semiauto pistols for the price of one, but for me it's worth every penny. |

Personally I've never understood why Tomenosuke went with the matte black receiver on the assembled pro I know in the end it's a matter of preference... I just find it weird... why make it look like it's not even metal? _________________ Monsieur, azonnal kövessen engem bitte

In defense of that there are many modern handguns with matte finish - e.g. Glock, HK and others. So it's not inconceivable that a blaster could as well. I just happen to prefer blued. |

I prefer blued as well. To me, matte finish handguns look more like plastic toys... |

It's reassuring to know my tastes are in good company.
I don't really desire a Worldcon replica.
I got this for my 16 year old self who saw a blued gun on the screen in 1982. |

Amen to that. It helped me complete my collection of all the guns I always wanted as a kid.

Very cool collection, Nexus7
