Just finished re finishing my off world blaster I received about 2 weeks ago, I went for the heavy version with all the metal upgrades .
Stripped all the metal parts of paint and blued them with caseys super blue, unfortunately I couldn't yet source a metal bolt lever assembly so had the finish that and the frame with paint as best I could to match the rest of the metal.
Also tripped the chrome off the butt plate tried to finish it like the worldcon blaster.
It's far from perfect but I'm very happy with how it's turned out just got a few little bits to paint silver and weather.
Hopefully in the future I'll have the funds for one of the better all metal blasters but for now this has satisfied by blaster urges Laughing

Thanks Joberg just waiting for Rich's next casting run to get my hands on a barrel and bolt assembly then I'll be happy.
I was speaking with mechanized2400 about how he swapped his plastic barrel for one of Rich's so that's my next job

Joberg the tiles were a result of the fact that the most moody down lighting in the house I could find was from the cooker extractor hood.
I think the food drips on the kitchen tiles from that nights chilli really make the picture hah Very Happy

It was easy to disassemble, I tried acetone on the paint but that did nothing in the end I took the paint off with fine grit paper Then went over it with ultra fine steel wool.
I have a metal bolt assembly on its way from rich Coyle, so when that arrives I'll take the blue off and re blue it along with the bolt so they all come out the same

I think Rich is very reasonable with his prices, drop him a pm to find out when he's next doing some casting I'm sure he'll hook you up

I may do this as well, but I may recast some of the plastic bits in pewter for mine.
