I use the products by Sylmasta... This particular resin has low viscosity and fast cure time, which is good for casts with many small details. Only have good things to say about their resins. The colour is best described as ivory or cream...

Absolutely outstanding. Great job, cant wait till you offer them up, but I would certainly be interested in an unpainted set if you offer them.

Speaking of, have you tried this place http://sculptnouveau.com/ . They use real metals in their stuff and can create an authentic patina.

Also what about just sculpting the head part, and doing the base separately? Could save on resin and molding costs, as well as make it easier to paint.

Thanks! These are for sale Very Happy And the kits are coming!

I've been considering doing at separate head... Only thing I can't figure out is making a mold to cast something hollow... am I missing something obvious here? I could of course do a solid head..?

Please share your thoughts... What would people prefer?

BTW interesting link - thanks!

First results from slush casting... Got too thin by the face. But I think with a modified mold and some practice it should be possible to cast separate hollow heads! I'll look in to this and post new results Very Happy

Thanks for your advice guys Very Happy Very Happy

Very cool; I cannot see the dif between the originals and the copy Shocked
Slush casting is somewhat difficult without the experience: lots of trials and errors before getting somewhere (thickness of the resin, mold, heat, make a difference for sure).

Good luck with the sale Wink
