I know, I know... it's been done before! So nothing new under the sun..

Nevertheless I'm super exited about this Vid-Phon build!! It's not like I have the time for it right now cause I'm working full time on buddhas and badges, but but but... Isn't it cool????

BIC tray and Pana-Vue slideviewer is in the mail...

Thanks guys Very Happy

It can be difficult to find a good hairdryer... this is a bit undersized but has the right nozzle and a nice cylindric shape, which is cool... look for vintage Sears, Clairol or Braun Silencio travel models...

Playing with the idea of putting a lighted picture in the monitor for the vid-phon... perhaps even a real monitor?

Yes, a real one could be fitted inside the slide-viewer

Uhhh! That's an even better idea Very Happy

But I need another slide viewer... I got the Pana-View 1, and it's too big! I'm looking at the Pana-View 2 now as I think it's smaller?!?

Your screen frame should measure 6,5 cm wide and 5,5 high...and that's also the way how the viewer should be placed on top of the phone: the bigger size in a horizontal line.

Hmmmmm.....

I just seems wrong compared to the one in the movie. The width of the screen doesn't seem to add up with the width of the calculator on mine, but it does in the movie.... and the correrelation between the size of the screen and the size of the phone also seems off with the Pana-Vue 1....

Is it just me??

I have the parts but not the time myself. Sad

Glad to see someone is working on these, and hope to see many more.

Ahhhh of course! Now I understand...pheww I'm slow, sorry Embarassed

The screen SHOULD be 6,5 cm wide and 5,5 high!!! Yes, absolutely, that would fit much better. The slide viewer that I have measures 8,5x9 cm. Way too big... The one in the mail should fit the measurement you provided much better...

Obviously I'm not sharpest tool in the shed Rolling Eyes

I've noticed that your box holding the view finder is bigger, making the size of the Casio a bit small. Something you'd wanted to do, or are you going to try to be as close as possible of the screen prop?

The housing is bigger... I did it because it underlines the - for me - bulky clumsiness that defines this prop and which I love.... but it does make the CASIO seem smaller Wink

Good work so far, can't wait to see more, especially how you're going to make the widgets on top of screen !

Cool
