Does anyone have a steel butt cap available, or lead me in the direction of someone who might have one for sale?
Thanks.

I think we all are looking for one and often the only way to get one is to purchase a Steyr rifle. I wish you success in your quest.

It is a standard replacement part. Here is a source:
https://www.gunpartscorp.com/Products/1181910.htm
NOTE: The part shown above is a size medium whereas the one for the Steyr used in a blaster is a SHORT. However, the exterior may be identical to the short and may only require some cutting or grinding or milling of the inside support piece which is not needed or visible on a blaster build anyway. Those of you who are familiar with bolt action rifles will understand the differences between short, medium, and long actions and that the cap MAY just be the same on the outside.
I know someone who is buying one to see if the above theory is correct. If not, he'll return the part but if it fits, your price is only $35.00 for an original Steyr end cap.
I was fortunate to have a complete bolt included with my purchase of the Steyr receiver but I haven't yet dismantled the bolt assembly to remove it. |

That cap should be good to go for the receiver. One came with the Steyr I have, too.
What I am meaning to acquire is a steel butt plate at the bottom of the blaster pistol. The chrome piece. |

Sorry, misunderstood. OK, maybe contact Rich Coyle to see if he has one or get one made out of aluminum which can be buffed to an almost chrome like shine. |

Sorry. I read Styer for some reason. The grip "butt plate" should be aluminum btw. Pewter ones can be obtained by Richartd Coyle but it all depends on which grip set up you start with.

Thank you both. Your helpfulness and enthusiasm is appreciated. Aluminum? That should make things easier. |
