Andy, in answer to your question about the back of the shirt, I had not looked at the back and went ahead with a different yoke treatment. I was able to get a pretty good view of the back this weekend, and any future incarnations will have the shaped yoke like you mentioned.

One last pic of the shirt showing the cuffs.
I like how Rachael made this pic look like it came from a comic book.

Should have a pic up soon of the new tie.
It will be very similar to Deckards.

Here is the whole ansemble including the new tie!
We sort of cheated on the blazer (that bit of orange you see beneath the Trench) and went with something "Found" at a local GoodWill. This saved Rachael a bunch of time that can be better spent working on other things...to be truthful, she asked me which I wanted made more, the blazer or the Trench? YEAH...That was an easy one to answer...

Thanks guys!
I can't wait to wear it out on a rainy Halloween Night with my neon umbrella and sweety Rachael on my arm.
We plan to take pics so we can share here.

I just picked up a shirt that has a very similar fabric to Deckard's tie. I also remember having a bed sheet set that had the same pattern as his shirt, but in a different color scheme. I recognized it imediately when I first saw the pics from screen used. Pics to come soon.

Well, actually it was really hard for somebody with my meager sewing skills:
I got around that issue by being really, really careful and taking pains, and not a small amount of cheating that would disgust a proper tailor. It took me about 16 hours to do a job that would have taken someone competent about 2.

Never underestimate the power of someone who can really sew: it's hard.
The topology alone gives me headache.

I didn't even quite finish it....there's supposed to be a narrow bit of striping between the first and 2nd. buttonhole, but my nerves had about had it. Besides, the tie covers it....

There used to be a really good way to make a BR shirt here. Too bad that info isn't availble to help you anymore.

Didja notice that it is the impossible to find correct tie pattern? It's longer than it looks , I just did a quicky knot to hold it on for the photo,

I understand that someone over at the RPF Junkyard has a sign up for an accurate Deckard Tie.
I'd look into it if I weren't so busy...

I am pretty curious about where you got the fabric for that tie for sure.

OB ~

THAT *ROCKS* Cool

I can understand why Rachel is so busy... she is an artisan MAX!
and I appreciate "detail" as you have in all that you do.

Xpertly created.

I keep looking at the threads slowly, and keep getting inspired, and this just tops it for me.
