As Andy suggested, I must admit, when the sequel was announced the thought occurred - self-centered as it may be - (a fantasy really) that I might be one of those contacted, about my magazine covers.

No doubt a temporary swelling of my tiny brain . . . .

Now, now Dave...it could've been a possibility. Most of the time, it's about who you know. Wink

I'm tipping if they do have them in the new one the person who put them together has seen your excellent work.

There was a good story at therpf where Warners contacted a member to use his fonts on the announcement trailer, they were free but they paid him anyway.
Great honour for him and a sign of some humanity from the movie machine.

I also thought there was a possablitly they might want a real firing prop and would contact me for a couple..but I guess CGI is safer...

Oh well.

Its totally weird that the hero blaster in the new movie is a replica.

If they are using CGI then they should have bit the bullet... and got the original on loan. If he`s only gunna hold it and wave it around a bit then why the hell not.

Bwood yeah, not the best workmanship here. At least the tiles on the kitchen walls will be easy to repro Rolling Eyes a big square with the outline of a bigger square and, in the middle, a protruding square...simple!

As for the glass on the table, here it is: italian made, I bought those a year ago, but I don't remember the brand/make.

Would you want to try to insure a collectors idem for $300,000.00??

One of my models could be had for around $2000.00.

I thought that as well Rich but when you think of all the other things that have to be insured on a production like this such as Ford completing etc, the cost would be minimised
and worth it just for the story.

The possibility of owning the hero`s from both movies might have been attractive to Dan as well. If they are going with CGI gunfire just because they have a deal with Tomen`s, that sucks.

What glass is that J?

While I get the logic of asking people who are already experts at producing these items to help with a production, entertainment doesn't usually work that way. People like to work with "known quantities" with a substantial list of recent credits on productions that they are familiar with.

New York Toy Fair 2017 is Feb 18-21 and NECA is showing. I would be surprised if they didn't show some of the Blade Runner 2049 line.

A good result in sales will lead to the RETRO(fit) line of products including replicas for sure.

Hope someone who goes will take pics of NECA's figures!

I have to agree with Rich and others. In film, it's all about who you know. If you're not already in the industry or on either coast to be "discovered", your chances are slim to none. That ship sailed off world a long time ago.

Too bad. - R13
