Thanks Nick, i was just about to have the boot covers made and they would have been wrong, i thought the "loops" ended at the ankle but
they go all the way to the toes.
The release of these and other pics of the patrolmen recently have revealed many secrets and been a tremendous
help and totally justify my hesitation in having the final parts made. Thanks again.
Gaffs shoes are sublime.

Awesome pics. I am still hoping to have a passable police outfit done for Halloween. Still no good pictures of the holsters yet though. I want to ID those white motorcycle helmets now.

did you notice that the "mini-jail" in the market scene (a prisonner guarded by a cop) is the bed, re-dressed and re-painted, in the hospital scene?

It's not a mini-jail, JB, it's a mini-police station... The guy iniside it is a street cop who doesn't wear his hat, only the skull cap !

lol

Fred

PS: Second guess : If it happens it really is a mini-jail, then you'd have to suppose those cops are so bored they arrest themselves to keep doing their job !

You're welcome........by the way the cop box, has Police Information wrote on the front, at the bottom of the window. Bizarrely the cop stood outside appears to be either holding a switched off torch or is performing karaoke to the bored officer inside? Maybe its a 2019 therapy point for stressed beat cops?

Wow we're trying to figure out some pretty obscure stuff here. Ha ha!

Three photos of a character that doesn't even appear in the movie. Smile

Nick
Can somebody give me some info on the cop in the white short sheeve shirt and tie?

Well according to the ID that had his picture on it, his charactor's name was James Jacobson, but we believe he is a guy from the art department named Art Shipee.

Thanks Nick,

The auction description says that the vest is made of quilted polyester
so that answers that question for me. The above pic also confirms different styles of hats were used and the holster is not basket weave.

Saw the Police Hat that was sold on screenused.com the other day in Paris... There's currently an exhibition where you can see a lot of stuff, ranging from Star Wars, ALIEN, Starship Troopers to Galactica, Matrix, Star trek and so on...

What first amazed me on the Street Cop Hat was the great amount of details never seen on the auction (or even Karl's) photos... Lots of weathering effects on the visor, the fabric looks rather thin, and there's also the "Police" buttons on the sides of visor. (I wonder now if these are real Police buttons are if they were created especially for the film)

Here are some pics, I hope they'll be useful to the ongoing Street Cop Uniform projects we hav ehere on the board !

Cool

Fred

Found a couple of these, they were listed as Chicago police buttons and they are made in England.
