My cylinder also arrived safe and sound in the UK today. Beautiful work!
Just need to blue it and then I'm ready to display it or fit it into my blaster. I know the practicalities of installing the cylinder have been covered here but I'm still not confident about carrying out this surgery.
Is there an "idiot's guide" video anywhere? |

There is a small cylindrical nut at the front of the
cylinder.
Remove the left cylinder cover and grip so you can slide the
old cylinder off of the crane. Unscrew the circled nut to the left
and pull the ejector rod and star out of the rear of the cylinder.
Then pull the cylinder off. Reverse the process to put it back together.
By the way this is the blaster I just finished. I wanted it to look like
it did a little after finishing filming (before it sat in a damp basement
for 30 years) .
I lost the original weaver knob that came with the gun so I
had to make another one . My pictures always suck but the
gun looks a lot more authentic in person. I also stripped the
frame down and airbrushed a coat of alclad aluminum on
to give it more of a bare metal appearance.

Cheers, Don. Much appreciated!
Love the "used" look on this blaster! |

I don't want to be a party pooper here but metal cylinders are a
Restricted part in the UK (pressure-bearing) which requires a 'slot'
on a Firearms Certificate. It's a 'strict liability' offence (no excuses)
attracting up to 5 years imprisonment.
Go careful... |

I took the revolver frame completely apart and shot it
with Alclad aluminum. I just used an air brush to paint
it on. It chipped a little when I put the gun back together
but that's alright , it was the look that I wanted.
Eagle, are you talking to me or the other members here
who bought cylinders? If any of the UK authorities are brave
enough to take a mild steel cylinder , bore it out so a round
will fit it and then shoot round through it then they can be
my guest, they will be lucky to walk away with a face .
I've shipped these cylinders all over the world and as far as
I'm concerned if these folks want to take the chance getting them
into their country that is up to them. |

I’m not having a pop at you just giving advice of the risks involved - you’re product is gorgeous, just not a risk I’d be prepared to take myself. |

No problem Eagle , and I understand your concerns. I just
want these guys to have their dream gun. I suppose
a lot of them have waited a very long time to get a
Tomenosuke. I myself would have never dreamed a
couple of years ago I would have one,let alone two. |

My cylinder arrived in my mail-box today.
Very nice indeed. Less than 2 weeks shipping time
to Australia.
Thanks Don. |

Got mine today (UK). Great piece of craftsmanship! It looked awesome when it arrived, and still passable when my completely novice bluing skills were all used up. I'm sure it could look completely perfect if you have even a little bit of skill to blue it properly. I dipped mine 4 times in permablue, evening it up each time with scotchbrite and then finished it off with some gun oil and it is a good match to the steyr receiver.
In addition, the original cylinder used to stick once every 5 or 6 shots, whereas this one is flawlessly smooth, and also Don's one fits real (inert) rounds in it, whereas they're just a little bit too long for the tomenosuke cylinder (on purpose I assume, in order to comply with Japanese law).
Thanks, Don, great work. |

Hey Pnag . I have some more but I'm not sure they will
fit the Sidkit or the Offworld. Maybe someone else here
might know.
