Not a screen accurate one. There's the Rick Ross, but they're pretty hard to come by...

If he does, I've sure been living in blissful oblivion, and need a set....

I emailed him some time ago about the set, but no answer. I think joberg has sent him a message.
The site in the link says the sets are discontinued temporarily.

I am so sorry about my delayed response to all of you who have emailed me regarding chess sets and Zhora guns. I have a tremendous backlog of emails that i still need to work through. Please bear with me. Unfortunately, due to some minor health issues, I had to give up my work space two years ago and put all of my patterns into storage. I had hoped by now to have returned to making these again, but I am still not able to make anything at the moment. If I am able to secure a new work space at some point in the future, I will need to make all new molds for everything. I still have high hopes of doing this, but for now, I cannot say when. A limited version of my basic chess set would be my first priority, though.

Thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely,

Rick

I may be looking at doing a run of Sebastians chess set pieces. These are very accurate modelled from a scan/solve from photos of an original set, Sorry misplaced the chaps name with the photos, slash-5. Here is a medium resolution test print of the King and a Pawn. Not all the detail comes up in a medium resolution test like this.

If the higher resolution scans bring out the details I would be really interested in buying a set.

Shoot me a PM if you are going to do it with details.

I think I would enjoy building the base for it.

Dont get me wrong there is a lot of detail there now, Everything as it should be. But it get's better defined and sharper the higher resolution the print. Those are printed at 50um while the pros can get to 15um.
Here is a render of the 3D model, No lack of detail here Smile

I want to get a few sets professionally cast in pollystone or similar but the cost is prohibitive at those low number hence the reasoning to do a run if there is enough interest for a set.

I haven't got those detail's sorted yet, Im about to get the 6 master patterns printed soon, then I can find out how much a set will cost to cast and what the minimum amount needed is. I imagine I would need at least 15 complete sets to make it economical for all.

I know what you Mean, There actually a real nice size as well. Much larger than I imagined. They would look really nice setup on a coffee table.

Even single pieces of each type of bird, instead of a whole set would look nice for display as well. Shocked
