Finally calling this done. Went back and forth on the brass screws on the grips because they are a departure from anything used on the original, but I thought they went well with the pearl. All of the LEDs are just glued on. The piece on the front of the receiver was from the inside of a small faucet filter.

I removed and molded the original grips and then made pearl castings. I filled the entire blaster with resin and filled out the grip frame for the new grips to glue onto. I used the orange tip cap as a barrel extension. Everything was aged with various weathering powders, which is what gives the receiver that slight brown hue.

There are only a few added greeblies here and there, but it’s really amazing what can be done with this squirt gun.

Thats fantastic, great job. Very Gaff. Cool

How the hell did you get the grips to look like that?

Thanks, I made molds of the toy grips and cast them with clear resin with pearlEx powder mixed in, which gives the metallic swirls look and leaves some translucency.

Thanks guys. I just figured I should make it a custom blaster since the stamping on the top isnt accurate anyway. If i were to have made Deckard's out of it, that wrong stamping would bug me, so i went this route, which could plausibly have different stamping (and be made in China).

That was partially where I got the idea, if it was almost what Deckard's had, its good enough for me!

This turned out awesome. That pearl finish is smack on for the test pair!

Great work! I particularly like the unique look with those great grips. I've been working on a squirtgun mod as well, tell me - were you able to keep the triggers movable, or did the resin seize them up?

I made them fixed, filling with resin complicated that a bit and it just made it easier.
