I'm not sure about the France release Indy; US and UK are September 3rd. They likely just haven't updated it yet.

Great news Graham, I didn't know about this one !

So what will you have inside ? Mainly Nostromo and Narcissus interiors ?
Did you have access to production blueprints ? (sorry but I had to ask) Cool

There's also an ALIEN exhibition at USC these days...
Not much to see from the first film, but rather cool spacesuits from Prometheus and Covenant (better than nothing).

Photos by Nolan Cummings, more after the jump :

Very cool! The Nostromo crew hat looks good - always love nice shots of the patch... I'll have to see what information USC has posted regarding it's history. There looks to be a website associated with the exhibit as well, though it seems to be having trouble loading at the moment: https://cinema.usc.edu/events/event.cfm?id=43121

Looks like the Nostromo cap is the one purchased by Paul Allen from Profiles in History years ago and usually displayed in his SciFi Museum in Seattle...

Cool

(Thank you for the link BTW !)

You're welcome JB !

OK some news : The Making of Alien and the Alien Photographic Archives of Bob Penn have been postponed to late 2019... Damn...

BUT... (there's always a "but") a few pages of the Making of book have recently surfaced online !

Enjoy !

Thanks for the updates Fred - my wallet is always lighter after your recommendations!

On Saturday I watched Alien at the cinema and it was a fabulous experience, and just a thrilling as the first viewing in 1979 when I watched it 7 times.

I was apprehensive at first as a friend had said the image quality wasn't good. This was worrying as all major cinemas in the UK are digital!

Anyway, the opening titles were a little soft but after that the image quality was great.

Ridley’s visuality is still breathtaking and I found myself scanning every corner of the giant screen looking for design elements that I may have missed or never noticed when watching it (TV, VHS, CD, Blu Ray) during the previous 40 years.

I’ve watched it so many times that I'm almost word perfect but still find it captivating!

Don’t miss the opportunity when it comes your way.
