OK so, I apparently found out something that was driving me crazy for some time now and it was all by accident! I haven’t seen much info on the Front K Frame Trigger details other than the trigger must be machined in such a way to fit correctly, not anymore! Well, sort of...
This machining would have to be done if your Trigger was at or above a thickness of .138” and up. K, N & L Frame Triggers can get as thick as .400” in some cases!
My point being, if you find a trigger that is at a thickness of .138” to .240” you’re good, no milling down the side so it doesn’t interfere with the Bulldogs functionality! You will still need to make a notch on the forward top Left side looking from the serrations. That can easily be done with a dremel if your Trigger is not case hardened.
So, make sure you pay attention that the trigger you purchase has a thickness of only .138” kiddos! It’ll save you from a ton of work on such a small detail.

Hope this helps all you real shooters,
Damion

Do you know which models this width trigger comes from?
I have access to Smith & Wesson triggers from model 28, model 36 and model 60 revolvers but I don't want to buy the wrong one and do loads of extra work on it now you have given such useful information.

I’m not all that certain as to which model = which trigger other than, K, N & L Frame Triggers vary from one another due to each Frames functionality.
Most of us on here believe that a K Frame Trigger is the “Screen Accurate” Trigger used for the Hero.
Just use calipers to check the width of your trigger you have access too before hand. Most sellers will usually specify which Frame the trigger is made for and it’s width in inches.
Good luck,
Damion
