Imagine the trouble I'm going to have keeping my new neon umbrella!
I think Rachael allready has designs on it.

Which reminds me...
Did anyone look at the pick of Ridleyville's BR Umbrella closely?
It looks to me like it may have been covered over with a black paint or tar and the original color was showing through at the edges.
Anyone know anything about this?
Heres the link to the pic thats a little below the pic of Andy's Collection...didn't know if he wanted his umbrella pic reposted or not:

On a side note...
I'm thinking about a certain white dragon with a red flicking tongue for my next neon project! Carl is interested..

That is a fantastic effort. I will happily post some close up pics of the handle.
I have been away for a while but will do my best to get the pictures up when i get back at the weekend.
And yes the umbrella was painted black, not really sure why they did not just use a black one.

The funny thing is is that it appears green with the paint worn off of it in the movie as well.

That's cool...!
I'm still considering painting over mine as well as it's got that "Too new" quality about it.
I'd be interested to hear thoughts as to what I should use.

If it is nylon you can get a paint at most stores that is meant to stick to plastics called Krylon Fusion. It works great on lawn furniture and ABS plastic as well. Dont know how thick it may make the Unbrella webbing though.

That sounds good and I like your consideration of the webbing.
Perhaps I should dwell on this a bit more before leaping in...

Sorry for the delay in posting pictures of the Handle. I have had a camera problem that will be sorted this week.

Looking forward to those Ridley...
By the way...did you notice all the fuss over some of the "ThinkGeek" type light-up umbrella's being stuck into new BR Boxes with pretty graphics?
I guess someone paid over a couple of hundred dollars for one on E-Bay...! Confused Rolling Eyes

I have to be honest and say that i did bid but was pipped at the post.
I think they will go for a fortune when they come up, or If any more surface.

Here are the pictures of the handle, hope they aare of some use to you. Also you might like to know that there is a makers name in the material part of the umbrella, THe Name is Shed Rain and they are still in business.
