They changed *nothing* on the opening credits. NOTHING.

The end credits have been changed somewhat because of new information, but some remnants of the old remain. For example, Vangelis' Blade Runner soundtrack is still mentioned as coming out on Polygram Records, a company long since dead. The 1994 "Official" Vangelis soundtrack was released on Warner Bros. Records.

I do wish they had returned the workprint 'Replicant definition' scroll, instaed of the usual opening scroll. The usual scroll creates plot holes on why Deckard doesn't know about Nexus 6 if it was because of their mutiny his job was created. The 'Definition' also helps, because it explains that they are bilogical, not really robots. Many people I talk to about the movie are still confused by it.

I've found that confusing as well though I've never heard of a "definition" scroll before.
That and Deckard asking "why do they risk coming back to Earth...?"
Has he honestly not thought about it with other Replicants he's retired?
Does he really not get it when Bryant say's "four year life-span"?

He asks Bryant "Why do they risk coming back to earth" Then says ". . . that's unusual" as if to ask "What do they want here, and why are they willing to risk thier necks to get it?"

I think that Ridley Scott was going for ambigious instead of "explained" throughout the entire film, and I'm guessing since they forced the narration on him, he was anti anything that explained, probably out of spite. Smile

That makes sense...kinda goes with the old theatre moto of
"Show, don't tell".
I've always heard that Ford hated the narration and because of that purposefully tried to make it sound bad so they wouldn't use it.
Funny thing is, I have always liked the narration and thought that it's really very different from anything else that he's ever done acting-wise.
