Not sure if this is an *exact* replica of the neon umbrellas seen in the film, but it is a newly licensed light-up piece:

THAT'S MY BROLLY!!!!!! (That's what they call umbrellas in the UK, brollies.)

Warner Bros. apparently bought a whole slew of them from the same Korean company that made mine. No, it's not as kewl as the one the mighty OnceBitten made, but it's nice alright. It'll get another workout at Anime Los Angeles.

I wish I had the packaging though.

Cool! Is Lumena the name of the company that makes these?

Hey guys...

If we get 50 people to buy in, we could have some made with a logo on them. Imagine one with the Tyrell Corporation owl logo, for instance?

Here's the link...

It looks about as nice as mine.

I have been frantically trying to Google this and the oracle is silent.

I *did* see a few tantalyzing glimpses of another umbrella, not licensed, but it has fiber optics in the cloth of the umbrella itself, giving a starlit look in the same colors as the central acrylic-with-fiber-optics shaft. Not screen-accurate, but looks hot.

I also found the company making promotional versions of the basic LED umbrella.

However, no joy about a LICENSED BR umbrella.

To mangle an old TV catchphrase...Spinner 44 where are you? Spinner seems to have some close connections with official types, maybe he knows what's going on with this thing.

What is most exciting about this is that this is the first licensed goodie I've seen, aside from the Comic-Con giveaway keychain. Is this a trend?

One other hope...ask about this on BladeZone and hope Charles de Lauzirika is checking the board. He does drop in there, y'know...

UPDATE: that's what I'm going to do. This is driving me nuts...

These were handed out last night to guests at the Warner Bros. BR after-party. They came with a black bag with thr BR poster on it, and inside was a copy of the DVD set and the small metal Spinner keychain.

Ooh!! Freaking SWEET!!!

It sounds like there is a color-changing LED inside this one, instead of the bright white or bright red ones from ThinkGeek.

It's not as accurate as the ThinkGeek white one, and even that isn't quite right...it would have been more screen-accurate with a frosted plastic rod and a blacked-out top, but it looks awesome.

Bookmarked. Will jump on it when I can.

Oh yeah, the swag brolly on eBay? Went for over $200.

There are usually a bunch on ebay, look for "lighted umbrella". You'd have to paint the tip but other than that they are pretty close.
